“I had the privilege of working with Doug Harris speak on the topic of Diversity and Inclusion within Corporate Real Estate at the CoreNet Mega Event in Charlotte NC on September 18, 2019.  As the moderator of this panel I selected him because I knew with his extensive background in the D & I space and his reputation as an expert in his field he would be a great fit!

What I found was he did not disappoint. I have found that discussing Diversity can be uncomfortable for many, but Doug’s skill in laying out the facts with a genuine spirit and desire to engage all in the room quickly helped me understand that his unique approach is what sets him apart. We all left with an even better understanding of both ourselves and how all of us can serve in some capacity as change-agents in our respective fields to make a positive impact.  In addition, this panel was rated the highest for the event!”

I first had the opportunity to hear Doug Harris speak on a panel about 3 years ago in Charlotte as his organization began to enter the market.  What I found most refreshing in Doug’s comments and perspective were his use of language and messaging that spoke to the common core of individuals and beliefs; not the marketplace ‘buzz words’ that always come with the conversation about Diversity and Inclusion as a “business imperative” and “good for business”.  Doug’s mission is not just about impacting the bottom line of business, but leaving the world a better place by realizing the work is touching human beings and not just individuals.
